Mentoring to Improve the Quality of Deep Learning in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Based Digital Technology at SMP Negeri Satu Atap Palam

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in recent years has significantly influenced various aspects of life, including the field of education. The integration of digital technology into the learning process has become an important strategy to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools. One of the approaches that can support this transformation is the implementation of deep learning supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. This activity aimed to assist teachers in improving the quality of classroom learning through the implementation of deep learning approaches based on digital technology at SMP Negeri Satu Atap Palam. The method used in this activity was a participatory mentoring approach that involved teachers directly in both the planning and implementation stages of the learning process. The planning stage was conducted on January 23 through discussions with teachers to identify learning needs and design strategies that integrate digital technology into classroom instruction. The implementation stage was carried out on February 5, where teachers applied digital learning tools and AI-supported resources during classroom activities. The results of the activity indicated that the use of digital technology in learning created a more interactive classroom environment and increased students’ engagement during the learning process. In addition, teachers gained new insights and experiences in integrating digital technology into their teaching practices. Therefore, this mentoring activity can be considered an effort to enhance the quality of learning and support the development of innovative teaching practices in the digital era.
